Camilo Abate

I am the Director of Go Forward OT and a Chilean-born, Chilean-trained Occupational Therapist with over eight years of experience across diverse clinical settings, including hospitals, private clinics, and government programs. Since moving to Australia, I have worked in private clinics before transitioning into the NDIS space, where I recognised the need for therapists with strong clinical backgrounds and a neuroaffirming approach.

My practice is built on compassion, respect, and collaboration. I bring a client-centred perspective to every interaction, ensuring participants and their families feel heard, supported, and empowered. I am especially focused on providing culturally responsive, inclusive care that acknowledges each person’s unique strengths and needs.

At Go Forward OT, I am dedicated to supporting children, young people, and adults with a wide range of diagnoses, including autism, ADHD, intellectual disabilities, psychosocial conditions, and physical or sensory differences. I am passionate about helping people live more independently, participate meaningfully in their communities, and achieve their personal goals.
